They were just showing that on CNN, still gives me chills when they do the zombie dancing sequence.

That reminds me so much of being a child. I love it.
Here's my favorite (not counting the old classics): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfZz-q8CRLE |

I'm his same age, it was so kewl to see him on TV sing and dance and know he was your age. Farrah was older but she was the icon of my time too. It's
like the 70's took a huge hit today. Plus my Moms 22 year old cat had a stroke and died at 2 AM It's been a wild day. Plus there are so many cables and
crap in her yard it took three times digging in 101 degree heat to locate a spot to bury the cat.
Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II. |

Yes, seeing these videos makes me feel like a kid again. He is someone whom I thought I'd always hear about in the news just like I thought I'd always
be able to read about Princess Diana.
I can't smear him now because it does seem he was a sensitive and possibly damaged human being. |

His life is what it was. Made for a facinating look into pop stars. He opened doors for many who came after him.

God speed, Michael. The last several years were, unfortunately, a punchline, but your legend is close to forever. There's no denying how indelible your
talent will remain.

I loved the YouTube of the prisoners dancing to Thriller. Both of theose videos were amazing to watch.

I think for my generation, Michael Jackson was probably the first pop artist we ever listened to. I know he was for me. I still remember as a little kid when
my dad bought Thriller and I was completely fascinated by it. I didn't think I would be this sad but I got tears in my eyes when I thought about his music
tonight. He was a huge part of my musical awakening as a child.
You say I'm a bitch like it's a bad thing...

For some of us old people, he grew up with us, we grew up with him, then he got bizarre. Our first memory of Michael Jackson is the Jackson 5 with him being
the youngest who sang with the high pitch. ABC, 123...

I totally agree with Sara, I know she is a bit younger than I am but we are pretty close in age. Thriller is when I first heard of him and I was amazed. I
remember when his hair started on fire and my friends and I were calling each other and were so upset. I had a Thriller poster, a poster where he is wearing
white and yellow and a ton of pictures from Tiger Beat up on my walls. I think it's too bad he got so weird. He obviously had problems. It's sad what
happened to him, but he made some great music and he was an icon for my generation.

Holy fuck on a stick already!
The dude sang songs, danced, fondled young boys, and modified his face through surgery. All this 24/7 coverage on the cable networks would have you believe he was some kind of weirdo or something. Can we get to the Farrah tribute now please? |

Poor Farrah! I wonder if Michael had a heart attack when he heard the news?

MJ memories: He lived a few blocks from us on Hayvenhurst in Encino, CA. There was a Gelson's supermarket on Hayvenhurst and it's where we shopped. We
often saw him in Gelson's shopping incognito in levis and a shabby T-shirt and ball cap; he was able to move about without much fanfare...just looked like
another guy shopping. Janet and LaToya also shopped there regularly. Many of the Jackson sibs lived in the Hayvenhurst house long after they were old enough to
move away. The Jackson home was right off Ventura Blvd., and we'd regularly see him driving on the Blvd., in an old beat up Datsun. Nobody paid attention
to him - who would expect to see a megastar in a crappy Datsun? Ingenius. On several Saturdays he canvassed our street passing out the Watchtower and doing his
Jehovah's Witness thing. He spent hours trying to convert my brother, who was a nonplussed hard rock fan who hated pop. He didn't care who the guy
handing out the Watchtower and begging for an invite into the livingroom was.
