Yeah, so the Angels have already locked up the AL West (thanks for the bagel on opening night, Oakland -- way to show how much you improved your offense). (I totally just Spin Doctored all over Crotchl) How will the rest of the divisions play out? My fingers-crossed hope is that the Yanks tank so bad in the first two weeks that Girardi gets the boot. And by tank so bad I mean hang around .500. With that lineup unless they win 100 games he'll be called a failure.

Blue Jays are still undefeated and seem to be running away with the AL East. The Yanks are having a bad season so far and have almost fallen right off the map it seems. Poor Mal, at least he gets to sit in a nice new stadium. |

What's the deal with the new Yankee stadium? Some sportscaster yesterday said it cost twice as much as the new Mets stadium, which is already a shitload of money. I know Steinbrenner ain't picking up the full tab (if any). |

It looks like the biggest costs are coming from the parking garages that are built nearby and also the replacement of green space to make up for the park site where the stadium was built. Tough season so far for us, hopefully we can fatten up on the Yankees this weekend. At some point we'll get Lackey and Santana back in the rotation, and probably Escobar too. Two of the replacement starters went on the DL themselves, and then there was Adenhart.  The middle relief got totally jacked up
during April, maybe it will settle once we stop using them for spot starts.

It looked like every other stadium that was built in the 70s and 80s.
The sight lines were bad from our left field bleacher seats. We couldn't see the jumbotron, any out of town scores or the pitch speeds. The sound system was terrible. The food and beverages were waaaay over-priced. On the plus side, there was a lot of variety with the food and it was all pretty good and I liked the people walking around with the "May I help you?" signs. And you didn't have to walk through the claustrophobia inducing tunnels to get to the stadium. |

Yankees' Stadium prices were higher than most modern parks. Well, someones gotta foot the bill for the shiny new ballpark. Not I, but someone. I've always liked sitting in the tier on the 3rd base side at the old park. Best balance between price and view.
