I know the enquiring minds want to know.
- Still looking for work, but not too worried about anything yet. The bills are getting paid and the cat's getting fed.
- Got a new roomate. Charging $340 every two weeks (because it's easier that way). He pays no extra bills except his own cell bill and he has to do the yardwork. So far, so good. He talks about nohing a lot but that's ok, I'm an expert on putting people on ignore.
- My mom turns 78 tomorrow, someone remind me to call her. I've been trying to go out and see them at least once a month and I do call every now and then. Mom's still in great shape could easliy pass for 60. Dad's getting a little fraile.
- Playing summer hockey. It's a blast. It's a total rec league, we have guys on the team who can barely skate but everyone's having fun. I'm almost a star in this league. Our division has teams with women on them, which makes it interesting. It's the NCHL, they run over 140 amateur leagues in the summer. If you're bored check out the social clubs in your area.
- My sister is a nice girl but are all women as poor at making decisions as her?
- She owns a condo and was living in it. Last year she bought a house at the PEAK - just before the housing collapsed, can't fault her there too much but she put 40k into developing the basement. She was renting her condo out and staying at the new place. So then she decides to sell the new place. Took about at 50k hit on it. She has to give her tenants 90 days notice. The buyer agrees to Sept 15th, but no she says they can take possession on Aug 1st because she's worried the market will crash again and they will bow out of the deal. But umm, sis, you and the 2 kids don't have a place to stay for 45 days now. She's moving in with some guy "temporarily". Marry the damn guy. He's rich. He has a big house. he treats you good. But I guess he's not a "bad boy" enough for her.
- Poker's been good.
Since Jan 1. 125 tournaments. 43 Final tables. 9 of those no money, but 8 of them were first places.
- In February I again qualified for the CPT final. Came 12th for 3k. Went out to the eventual winner with a Nut Flush Draw and a gut shot to a set of 8's. First place was 100k.
- Didn't make the final in the June Tournamnet.
- Just finished 2nd in CPT monthly tournament at the Indian Casino. We chopped actually. Got 6k for it. My biggest win so far. Still plan on cashing at least 10k once this year. There's a whole bunch of fairly large tournments going on in the next month or so. And I'm still getting better at the game.
- Have gone for lunch a couple times with my old company. I'm going to put a power slide presentation together on why they should hire me back. I've got a excellent repoire with the CEO and the HR lady. Last time we talked there was no money coming in and thus no room to hire. I'm going to present the slide show early September or whenever I hear it might be picking up in sales.
- Cleaning up my basement. It's a two month project. Going to get rid of the pool table and maybe buy a larger poster printer to get the printing business up in revenue. Maybe, there's about 10k and that's a big investment for something that might not work.
- And it's never too soon for a MJ joke ...
Did you hear that Chuckie Cheeze's bought KJ's body. They're going to cremate him. Mix the ashes in cement and build a big super-slide.
It's so kids can go down on him for all eternity.
The autopsy report came back. He died of food poisoning.
He ate a ten year weiner.
