Posts: 1055 (06/22/09 2:29 PM) Lunatic Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None ok its old news that there's no quality goods anymore and everybody chooses cheap over craftsmanship, but fuck... i'm looking at this star trek 09 glass from burger king on my desk, and its just some grainy image of spock printed on a semi-translucent adhesive thing that is wrapped around the glass. next to it my smurfs glass from 1982 mcdonalds looks like a fucking michelangelo. even the cheapest disposable bullshit part of our culture has gotten cheaper and more disposable.

Anybody here familiar with Chris Martenson? Check out his video series, The Crash Course. Takes about 3.5 hours to get through them all, but they're in segments and should be viewed in sequence, start to finish. Serious shit.

They are Lord Of the Rings glasses. They come in cool colorful boxes which I keep them in. They are made of glass and they have plastic coasters on the bottom of them. Inside the plastic coasters are batteries and little lights and you can turn the glasses on so that they light up red and display the embossed images in the glass of Frodo, Aragorn, Gandalf, and that elf chick. On holidays like Thanksgiving, I take them out of storage and use them at the table for the punch to go with the turkey dinner. My light-up LOTR glasses blow away all other collectible glasses.
