So the other day I buy couple of computers for the office.
FYI the computers I replaced were purchased from Dell in May of 2003. They were Dell Refurbished computers. Approx $700 each.
In order to keep the new computers within budget, I got the computers with Norton Internet Security 30 day trial. I had about 3 months left on the renewal of
Norton Anti Virus via "Norton System Works 2004" on my 2 current, old machines so I thought I might be able to get an extension on my "30 Day
Trial" on the new machines.
So I thought.
Have any of you ever tried to get a "1-800" Customer Service number from a company the size of Symantec? I can tell ya it ain't easy.
Fast forward to "Fuck The 1-800 Number" let's try this "Chat" thingie on the "Support" section of the website.
This is where I'm introduced to Siriam. Long story, short?
After some chatting back and forth, Dude connects to both office machines... updates the Norton Internet Security that was the "30 Day Free Trial"
preinstalled by Dell to "300 days remaining on renewal"!!
I told Siriam to tell his boss that I said to give him a raise and if I was ever in India I'd like to meet him and take him out for a cheeseburger.
God fucking help me but I really love this fucking country.
