In celebration of our imminent destruction, the Hurricane Landfall Contest is back for Year 2. Here are the knew and improoved rules: You pick one named storm (tropical storm or hurricane) that you think is going to make US landfall this year. Person who picks the strongest storm that hits anywhere in the US wins. Tiebreaker / Bonus question 1 - how many named storms this year (up thru Nov. 30)?* Tiebreaker / Bonus question 2 - where will your storm make landfall?* Contest entries accepted until May 31. Winner receives some kind of prize worth something to somebody. Here's your chance to dethrone reigning 2008 champion, Hobie Lapatka! Unless your name is Hobie, and then, you go girl! All Canadian types and those of the Midwestern persuasion welcome to participate!
