Looks like marriage problems work for you in something like this.
"Everything in your life that happens to you leaves a tattoo. Something permanent, something that stays with you always. And you don't realize it
because its so much a part of you, but then one day you look at it and its like 'wow. There it is. Like a picture under my skin'". K. Bentley

So far, they are not living up to their potential to be the next Wil and Tara.
And even though they were pretty inept, I'm going to miss the team that was eliminated, they actually seemed to enjoy being there.

I would have liked an update on what Starr did to her arm, but I guess we'll have to find out next week - I guess it must not actually be broken.

The thread about it at Sucks has the best reply to that answer....

Sarah looks like Jerri Manthey, which makes me loathe her. And speaking of one of the biggest bitches in reality TV history, Sarah's partner is one.

That 30minute penalty is freaking weird.
why not apply it to that leg? clearly they knew about it...it was filmed. |

I got the impression that they won by a great deal more than 30 minutes and the penalty would have been wasted, so to speak. I can't think of any other
reason.
It looked like they had a get out of jail free card, too, or NZ cops are really laid back. Or both. Also, wouldn't getting pulled over and having to wait on the cop be a penalty in and of itself? |

Any advantage they gained by speeding was erased while waiting for the cop to write the ticket. They were already punished by sitting on the side of the road
for several minutes. The 30 minute penalty is overkill.
They should hand the ticket to Phil and let him pay it. |

There's probably some rule about speeding and by the time production reviews the tape and confers about the rules, the leg is over.
The clue rules like "walk" or "take a bus" that get broken and penalized at the end of a leg are probably a little clearer and something the camera man can tell them at the pit stop or phones in while a team is doing a challenge - this is the first time I can think of that someone got a speeding ticket. And another thing.
There is NO consistency as to how the rule about broken vehicles is enforced. There is a clear rule that they've stated numerous times. Something like "if a vehicle breaks down through no fault of the racer. a new vehicle will be provided as soon as possible." Happens a lot when they have a task that involves some old, beat up local car. But that never applies to flat tires. That's cool. I guess the argument is that maybe it happened through your own fault...drove over something, drove recklessly etc. But what about the broken boat? why weren't they provided with a new boat? Something fishy going on, and its not just in those traps |

I think they actually have to request it. It does usually take a while to get a replacement too, so if they do have have to request it some teams might think
it's better to just try and get theirs working. Now that I think about it, the only times I remember it happening is when it's just personal
transportation, i.e. a vehicle they drive themselves - never a bus or taxi.

when their boar broke down, she did ask that other boat if they where their replacement boat.
& sjs is correct, they have to ask. I think its lame for players to not learn how to change a tire, and learn to say a few choice words in several languages before they go on the show. |

It's nice when they can communicate in the native tongue but are they supposed to learn the words for "fast," and "thanks" in every
language? They don't know where they are going.
And while yelling at the people in English (or Spanish, which a great deal of racers do if the native people are brown, even if they speak Portuguese, French, Mandarin, etc.) is annoying and ugly American-ish, it is almost as annoying when the people say "fast" over and over again in the native language (which happened a lot this past week). |

I was happy to see Aja and her boyfriend leave this week. I didn't much care for them.
I'm on board about the divorcees too. They are conceited and struck up. Sugar and spice and everything nice! |

I imagine while you're in transit to a country (on a plane, in a cab, etc.) you have some time to ask a native about some key phrases ("please",
"thank you" and "fast") in the local language. But I do agree that no matter what language you're yelling "Faster, faster",
it's awful.
