I had to. It has been on a number of top 10 lists lately....best comedy, cult classic, best character blah blah blah. I was thoroughly UNimpressed. It was, well, fine. No better, no worse. Explain to me why i'm some sort of uncouth neanderthal of comedy to not recognize it as a work of art. Not only was it not in my top 10 anything, it wasnt' even close to being a top rated Coen Brothers movie. Please tell me something that ties the comedy together.

I am a very big Coen bros fan and have never gotten the appeal of Lebowski. I've seen it once in its entirety and tried watching it again, but couldn't finish it.

While I have absolutely no intention of seeing that ridiculously overpraised NCFOM again, I find the Coen brothers' movies always get better on subsequent viewings. Watch it a few more times with your friends and you will start quoting it everywhere. John Goodman's performance is brilliant. He should've won best supporting actor that year.
