I'm pretty comfortable with the notion that I know how her taste in jewelry runs - not too ornate (no Victorian or antique), but not too contemporary (too cold.) I took the plunge today and ordered a ring. Fortunately, if she hates it, I have 30 days to return it and find something different. It looks like the picture, but I didn't get it from this place.

Figured since you were interested in the pre-wedding rant I'd provide you with abit of the post-wedding aftermath.

The wedding went great and the weather cleared for us, giving us absolutely perfect conditions for the ceremony (The night before we left the rehearsal dinner and walked to the cars in pouring rain with 90 mph gusts of wind). Everything went off without a hitch.
