(November 4, 2009) H1N1 confirmed in Iowa cat
A 13-year old cat in Iowa developed signs of a respiratory infection after several people in the household were ill. Preliminary testing was positive for 2009 H1N1 on October 29 and the results were confirmed on November 2. This is the first report of a cat infected with the 2009 H1N1 influenza virus. The cat is recovering from its illness. To date, there is no evidence that the cat passed the virus to any people.

So I've been roped in again. The club lasts 5 weeks, a dozen 8-11 year olds.

Plan on mostly having them play. First day, try to show them how to finish a game. Last time around they just pushed wood forever. Then hold a 4 round swiss, figuring that most games will be over quickly.

Question is, how do I deal with the smell that a dozen kids in an overheated room put out? And should I let them use the computers?

Having not played a serious game since 1988,...

- March 2001. Arrived at my house direct from the pound. My sister had 2 cats and had to give them up due to pregnancy and husband being allergic. She had taken Buddy to the pound, but then I said I'd take him in. She had to beg the pound for him back as they suspect that once you give up a pet, you'll give him up again later. They usually give them 10 days to get adopted.

He arrived weighing about 19.5 pounds. A total...

the 21 year old married daughter is now with child, a boy due 17 january.... she claims she won't use drugs, i think "good luck with that", she's all baby. he is already 35% bigger than the average six month fetus. she always was an overachiever.

The Pay Czar going after the Big Boys with multiple 0's behind the first number on their checks is all right by me. I agree with the Congressional decision that those guys can't collect cash until they pay back what they owe!!

So, should the Gov'ment be allowed to set limits on salaries and bonuses of those who owe massive amounts back to us little tax payers or not?

My kiddiots laptop runs on Vista, and hes having problems login into sites.
He has to line up the curser and press enter in between each letter/symbol/number of his sign in name and password.

Hes run a virus/malware scan and that didn't help it. I'm thinking its a windows glitch....

A common condition affecting the eyelids. Infected, inflamed, itchy eyelids.

Cause: poor eyelid hygiene. I think I need to wash my bedsheets more often.

Treatment: a twice daily eyelid scrub.

I'm going into the deep end today. Vista -> Windows 7 Ultimate upgrade today...
